About This Spot

Stepping into Kennedy's Craft Kitchen & Cocktails feels like finding a warm corner of Long Beach where familiar faces and good times blend effortlessly. This is a relaxed neighborhood spot where the rhythm slows down just enough to savor a solid meal and a carefully crafted drink without hurry. Whether you settle in on the dog-friendly patio or stake a claim at the bar, the air hums with a genuine local energy—a tapestry woven from stories shared over hearty plates and strong cocktails.

The atmosphere is inviting and unpretentious, offering the kind of comfort that encourages both casual catch-ups and quiet moments of unwinding. It’s the kind of place where servers know your name or at least your favorite drink, and where regulars trade nods with newcomers like old friends. Here, the focus is as much on the presence and ambiance as it is on the flavors filling your glass and plate.

Food at Kennedy’s is honest and satisfying, marked by generous portions that echo the easygoing spirit of the place. A bite here might mean sinking your teeth into a Nashville chicken sandwich that’s bold and crisp, or sharing crispy short rib poutine fries with a friend while the conversation flows. The menu strikes a balance between comforting and creative, offering familiar comforts alongside twists that reveal a genuine care for craft. And alongside these dishes, the cocktail roster shines with playful classics—think bright, tropical mango margaritas and pineapple mojitos that feel like a small celebration in every sip.

This isn’t a spot chasing trend or flash; it’s a local hangout steeped in approachable vibes and steady quality. Evening crowds might lean into spirited game nights or lively happy hours, while quieter afternoons invite a leisurely meal paired with a cool iced tea or a refreshing mimosa. The pace here encourages you to take your time, whether you're catching up with neighbors or simply soaking in the mellow, friendly hum.

For anyone looking to experience a side of Long Beach that’s genuine and unpolished, where food, drinks, and community come together in a way that feels like home, Kennedy’s Craft Kitchen & Cocktails offers a quietly memorable gathering place. It’s less about the spotlight and more about the shared moments that make any visit feel like a small but meaningful discovery.

Just stumbled upon this place for a quick happy hour. Heaps of food and STRONG drinks. Great servers. Dog friendly patio. Everything is great. However, it did seem like a local hangout spot for seniors. Everyone knew everyone that walked in the door. If that don't bother you, check them out!

I've lived near here for quite some time and finally decided to try this place out. Best decision I ever made! The food is absolutely DELICIOUS and such generous portions! The vibes were chill and amazing as we chose a table outside. Also, the steak salad is SO GOOD. Most steak salads I've eaten are too dry and have very little steak, but Kennedy's Craft Kitchen knows how to make an absolutely fire steak salad! I love that the salad has so much steak, and the dressing is so good. I love the big portions here, so expect to have leftovers for your lunch the next day! Overall very enjoyable experience here. I'm definitely coming back!

Love this place. Food is alright but it’s a great place to have a few drinks and catch a game. Tons of locals and regulars come here which makes it a nice place to mingle. Try the tequila flight and have a meal. The food is a bit salty at times but it depends on the day and the type of food you get. Beer on tap is good and they clean their taps regularly enough that you won’t get a headache.

Updated 10.6.25: Thought I updated my review but didn't see it. Anyways, my first visit a couple days ago was great and came here again for a light lunch before heading to the airport to catch my flight home. Peyton was our server and provided outstanding service and didn't skip a beat when my friend's daughter ordered a custom off-menu cocktail. For lunch I ordered the Phat Pretzel with Modelo Beer Cheese and the Pickled Cucumbers. The phat pretzel isn't named phat for no reason! It was HUGE--the size of the entire dinner plate. The pretzel was fresh, hot, and had a great cook to it and the beer cheese paired perfectly. Definitely could be a shareable appetizer. The pickled cucumbers were Asian style and had a nice heat profile. I liked how the cucumbers were cut chunky instead of the usual paper thin slices you usually see. My friend's daughter ordered a custom grilled ham and cheese with tomato bisque and it looked awesome. When I fly to Long Beach to visit my friend, Kennedy's will be on my list to visit again. 10.4.25: Visiting a friend in HB, who is a frequent patron, and said I had to come here. When we walked in, she saw her favorite server, Jamie, and we sat in her section. Jamie was really nice and friendly. My friend raves the bartender is awesome here and that he makes awesome drinks everytime. However, I'm not drinking right now and opted for a non-alcoholic drink and chose the De Soi Spritz Italiano. It was a nice citrus refresher and a bit on the pricey side, but I didn't mind since I was on vacation. My friend said I had to try the Htipiti dip appetizer. As the description reads, it's a roasted red pepper creamy feta dip with garlic, sumac, and served with warm pita bread and cucumber slices. It arrived hot and the portion was huge and came with plenty of pita bread and cucumbers. The flavor profile is rich and bursting with flavor. I would totally order that again. For my entree, I went with the Veggie Pesto pasta. It was very different but in a great way. Pesto sauce tasted great, veggies weren't overdone nor mushy, and the noodles were al dente. It was a great early dinner with my friend and her daughter and meeting new people. It was pretty busy there and the noise level was above-average, but that's because a baseball game was on that many people were interested in so there's that.
